Job Description

  Working with the Manager - Geotechnics and the broader Perth Geotechnical team,  this position offers a great variety of projects, and will see you involved in the following activites:

  • Organise, co-ordinate and lead field investigations and projects requiring geotechnical design and analysis
  • Logging soil and rock in accordance with AS1726-2017
  • Geotechnical analysis of slopes, shallow foundations and retaining structures using industry standard software
  • Use of numerical modelling software, particularly Plaxis (2D & 3D) and Abaqus
  • Leading and contributing to the preparation of proposals and bids for projects
  • Providing creative solutions to fit the needs of our clients and communities
  • Coordinating the work of the team, mentoring less experienced team members

What you will bring to the team

  • Ability to manage several jobs at once and determine priorities
  • Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating and solving problems to brief and budget
  • Robust written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
  • An interest in coaching and mentoring to technically strengthen the team capabilities
  • A minimum of seven years experience in site investigation and reporting
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil or Geological Engineering
