We have hundreds of skilled experts working on projects in North America and worldwide, covering the entire lifecycle of a project from idea, concept, and design to operation and maintenance.EXTEND YOUR POTENTIAL IN A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTSIn this position, you will join our global team of experts and work closely with the Group Lead and the Head of Section. Your primary task in our team will be to provide consulting, project management, and detailed engineering expertise on numerous bridge design projects.On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Prepare proposals, work plans, schedules and budgets along with standard documents, such as technical specifications, under applicable design codes
  • Lead project teams in the evaluation of geotechnical data, structural analysis, design of tunnels, tunnel liner systems and shafts, evaluation and preparation of calculations and drawings
  • Mentor other engineers to ensure the team's professional development and work collaboratively with CAD technicians
  • Research and review design options for both technical and financial impact and contribute to the successful completion of projects in the area of responsibility
  • Supervise, coordinate and review the work of other structural engineers and also coordinate marketing activities with BD personnel along with liaising with other professionals, clients, and third parties as needed
  • Perform site and field inspections and condition assessments together with preparing engineering reports and other technical documents

  • Hold a Master's degree in Structural or Geotechnical Engineering with 10+ years of related experience in the tunnel and/or underground structures design and project management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Have strong technical expertise in the design and construction of tunnels, shafts, and other similar underground structures
  • Be registered as a Professional Engineer in the home province, state, or can obtain
  • Have proven ability to write technical memoranda and engineering reports and also have experience working with modern North American design codes along with being proficient in 2D and 3D geo-structural analysis software such as STAADPro, Plaxis, FLAC3D, UDEC, Swedge, Unwedge, SNAIL or similar programs
  • Have an understanding of and ability to prepare cost estimates and construction schedules and also the ability to effectively manage budget and schedule delivery
  • Be comfortable to work underground or within confined spaces
