Undertake a cross-section of projects; including: tunnels, microtunnels and other trenchless methods, braced excavations and other underground structures/projects. Produce design solutions, reports, specifications and drawings covering a range of projects from new builds, modifications, maintenance and refurbishment. Participate in onsite site investigations at various sites and then compiles and computes a variety of engineering data. Assess sub-surface conditions and developing design criteria. Receive and review various shop drawings for projects. Develop engineering concepts and articulate them to the team. Write reports for submission to clients as well as assisting with preparation of proposals to clients. Liaise with the client, attending progress meetings and producing reports on progress. Help the team resolve important design related questions. Provide expert engineering input into design and evaluation of built environment proposals. 20% domestic travel, fully reimbursed.
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.·
1 year of experience in the position or related occupation.·
Alternate Requirements: Will also accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the position or related occupation.·
