Job Description

  As a Staff Geologist, you will be responsible for documenting field conditions, writing field reports, analyzing and interpreting data, and preparing technical reports. You will principally work on large and small-scale projects in the Pacific Northwest with occasional opportunities to work on projects throughout the U.S. The projects will include site engineering geologic characterization, geologic hazards assessment, landslide assessment and restoration, as well as a variety of groundwater projects including supply, seepage and dewatering.  Typical client sectors include oil & gas, local and state government, forest products, aggregate resources, commercial development and transportation. Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Geology or related field required. MS in Geology, Applied/Engineering Geology or related field strongly preferred
  • 2 years of related experience preferred
  • Strong field orientation and proven problem-solving skills required
  • Interest in construction and the building process
  • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Completion of 40-hour OSHA training preferred
  • Completion of ASBOG Fundamentals of Geology (FG) examination preferred with intent to take the Practice of Geology (PG) examination when qualified
