 Langan has an opening for a Geotechnical Project Engineer – 7 to 10 Years Experience at our Philadelphia, PA office.  The successful candidate will be working on a wide variety of challenging projects and must have diverse and proven geotechnical engineering experience. The candidate must have the ability to expand services to existing clients and the potential to develop new clients while maintaining strong billability. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of proposals, technical reports, specifications and construction plans, development of appropriate foundation and site-related geotechnical recommendations, and must have had previous comprehensive field experience associated with subsurface investigations and foundation construction. A professional demeanor and client management experience are required. Experience in heavy civil construction is a plus. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for running projects, managing billings, reviewing the work of staff, mentoring, managing performance and interacting with the firm’s Senior Management team.

Job Requirements: 

  • Master's degree with geotechnical specialty;
  • PE license preferred;
  • Minimum 7 years of US geotechnical consulting experience;
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Superior interpersonal skills;
  • Must be self-motivated and responsible; and
  • Ability to work well with others, as well as work independently.
