Job Description

At Tetra Tech, you will work with high-performing teams who are passionate about using their expertise to find solutions to complex problems in water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, energy, and international development.  We are currently seeking a flexible and motivated Associate Environmental Engineer to participate in our Air Quality, Acoustical and Energy practices. The successful candidate needs to be open to gaining a wide range of experience across these practice areas. Responsibilities:

  • working with the Clean Air Act, USEPA air quality modeling guidelines and procedures
  • Acoustical consulting including field data collection, modeling in air and under water
  • Experience in other environmental regulatory programs
  • Support of our oil and gas sector, including field assignments and in-office report preparation for natural gas transmission pipelines
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks, coordinate effectively with others, and work independently within a team are important characteristics for this position

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline
  • 0 - 6 years of professional experience
  • Attention to detail, and commitment to quality and professionalism
  • Strong computer skills, including MATLAB experience
  • Working knowledge of federal and state environmental legislation and negotiations relative to regulatory compliance/permitting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • 40 Hour OSHA Health and Safety training is a plus
  • A pre-employment drug screen required
