DescriptionThe Software Developer will provide technical and development support to WCA’s SharePoint and Salesforce systems. This role is responsible for creating and managing system changes, maintaining security and integrity, process creation and documentation, and ensuring data quality. In addition, the Software Developer will support integrations with other systems and provide best practice recommendations to Administrators.
Duties & Responsibilities• Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain and debug software applications and interfaces that support business units. Support the development of technical solution documentation.• Design, maintain, improve, integrate, and develop online SharePoint solutions. Plan, lead, and execute SharePoint development tasks.• Work independently to identify and execute maintenance and upgrade activities for assigned SharePoint sites.• Create new and support current interfaces for SharePoint sites that provide information from various applications, (create or leverage APIs) wherever possible.• Utilize in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.• Daily administration and support of Salesforce database, including but not limited to, managing multiple user setup, profiles and roles.• Develop and create customized reports and dashboards.• Maintain awareness of new SharePoint and Salesforce features and functionalities. Provide recommendations for process improvements.• Develop new features and extend functionality for Salesforce using APEX, Lightning Web Components, and Flow.• Create and maintain documentation on processes, policies, and application configurations.• Develop training documentation and operational manuals to clearly explain functionality for internal and external end users.• Maintain application security, SDLC, and change management best practices.• Perform other related duties as assigned by manager.RequirementsRequired:• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technologies or related field• Two (2) or more years of experience configuring, testing, documenting, and supporting SharePoint and / or Salesforce• Thorough understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members, management, employees and external customers in an efficient and professional manner• Effective listening, problem solving, and decision-making skills• Strong work ethic demonstrating integrity, trust and confidentiality• Flexibility to accept and adapt to change as well as the commitment to seek continuous improvement• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Preferred:• Experience with ETL tools like Dell Boomi, Jitterbit or similar• Solid Waste industry or ancillary experience
