Job SummaryBlack & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer within our Water Americas - Systems Engineering Design Team in our East Region Design Center in Raleigh, NC. Our Systems Design team provides electrical, instrumentation & control, and process mechanical solutions for all Black & Veatch’s water/wastewater projects throughout North America. Black & Veatch is currently growing our Raleigh I&C team to support the growing need for I&C, SCADA, automation and data driven solutions for our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview:
- Lead I&C design for water/wastewater projects
- Provide technical guidance and direction to engineering and technician staff
- Develop a variety of complex engineering deliverables including P&IDs, technical specifications, instrument schedules, I/O lists, panel layouts, and instrument installation details.
- Coordinate with regional and global design teams
- Continuous learning and development of technical expertise/specialty area
Additional Project Opportunities:
- Automation and control system master plans, studies and technical reports
- Control system replacement and upgrade projects
- HMI and PLC application programming
- Data analytics, network architecture, and cybersecurity
Management ResponsibilitiesPreferred Qualifications

Minimum QualificationsRequires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
