Job Description

What We're Looking ForThe time is right to join HNTB! We are seeking a Traction Power Inspector in our Riverdale, MD office.Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Quality Control inspection of rail transit traction power systems and overhead contact systems construction.
  • Monitoring component and system testing
  • Writing daily inspection reports

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills

What You'll NeedEssential Responsibilities:

  • Monitors work of Contractor against reviewed Project Schedule.
  • Participates in on-site training of staff.
  • Produces As-Constructed sketches as required.
  • Reads and comprehends contract documents.
  • Keeps Inspector's Daily Report of assigned work activities.
  • Performs on-site material testing.
  • Performs measurements of completed work to date.
  • Performs complicated mathematical calculations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 3 years construction related experience
  • All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements
