As the Senior Geodesign Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the geodesign leadership in growing the geodesign business. You will participate in multidisciplinary project teams, often involving multiple offices across Texas. Typical geodesign projects include analyses and detailed design of support of excavation systems, underpinning of existing structures, stabilization of slopes and other earth structures, steel and concrete design, soil improvement, shallow and deep foundation systems, earth retaining structures, grouting programs, design and oversight of positive cutoff walls, and numerical analysis. You are expected to apply sound engineering principles and be able to communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams. Services may be provided for existing or proposed projects in the public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and/or industrial sectors.
In this role you will also be responsible for the Underwater Inspection Team. As the Underwater Inspection Team Lead for the Texas Division, you will be responsible for assisting the Terracon Dive Team representatives with building a team in the Texas division and ultimately leading the commercial diving inspections in this region with the assistance from national resources within the company. You will participate in multidisciplinary project teams, often involving multiple offices.
