Job DescriptionAre you passionate about making a difference in your community? Terracon is growing and hiring a Geotechnical Intern in our Denver, CO office! Our Denver office works on exciting projects including slope stability projects, wind and solar farms, road design, airports and many more diverse projects. You will be asked to prepare technical documents including proposals, reports and regulatory agency correspondence. The successful candidate will be a full-time student engineer, and will possess the desire to learn all aspects of Geotech-Materials field work for the Terracon team.

Essential Role and Responsibilities:

  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects
  • Follow the learning objectives outlined for interns in this program
  • Participate in pre-task planning
  • Report any safety issues or concerns to management
  • Assist with project scheduling and resources assignments
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
  • Participates with more senior Geotechnical-Materials staff on large, more complex projects
  • Performs site visits, field observations and field data collection or assignments
  • 40 hour work week and a 12 week internship program

Requirements:

  • Sophomore or Junior level full-time college student in an ABET accredited college or university seeking a degree in civil engineering or construction engineering management bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
