BGC is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with a focus on advanced numerical modelling and earthquake geotechnical engineering. While this intermediate-level position will focus on those two core competencies, the successful candidate should expect a diverse role that includes: advanced numerical analysis, advanced laboratory testing, field data collection and reporting. The successful candidate will support our in-house geotechnical experts in advanced numerical modelling with FLAC2D and 3D. They will also have experience with geotechnical and seismic software such as SHAKE or DEEPSOIL, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, SeismoSignal, RSPMatch and familiarity with some user defined constitutive models such as PM4Sand, NorSand, and UBCSAND.
BGC’s Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton or Fredericton offices are preferred; however, BGC has offices in various Canadian cities and in Golden, Colorado which may be considered for a qualified candidate.
