Supporting our Senior Engineers, the successful applicant will be involved in;

  • Carrying out detailed design work and documentation under supervision
  • Contributing to the delivery of projects
  • Liaising supervisors, drafts-persons and other specialists on issues relating to the designated tasks and the delivery of designated work on packages and projects
  • Assisting in preparation of specifications, proposals and other documents under supervision

As a graduate employee at SMEC, you will have the opportunity to rotate through the business disciplines, allowing you to experience other aspects of Civil Engineering that may be of interest as well as gaining an appreciation for other technical components of a multi-disciplinary project. In addition, you will be given regular training on everything from consulting with clients to managing your time effectively.About YouSuitable applicants will have/be:

  • A recent graduate in Civil/Structural Engineering with a good academic performance
  • Some Undergraduate industry experience, ideally within roads design
  • An appreciation of the technical, commercial, financial, and marketing aspects of engineering
  • Developed knowledge in analytical methods, tools and principles
