Job Description

DXWplus is a Bentley Channel partner, focused on selling subscription packages to practitioners (Engineers, Architects, etc.). Each subscription package contains a Bentley software subscription plus a subscription to expert technical advice. We initially offer a subscription to AutoPIPE, OpenFLOWS, OpenSite Designer, PLAXIS and SoilVision.

We are now about to leave the conceptual stage behind us and are ramping up to go live. Therefore, we want to expand our team and are looking for new colleagues to join and help make this exciting start-up a success!

As a Sales Engineer, you will generate sales revenue to meet or exceed established sales goals in software subscriptions. You will develop business opportunities in your assigned territory through your own efforts and those of your colleagues. In addition, you will qualify all incoming sales leads generated from any source and act upon the qualification accordingly.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, are self-motivated, can work independently, and are capable of selling to Engineers. It's important that you come from a Geotechnical Engineering background so you can speak the language of our Users and prospects.

Your Day to Day:

A Sales Engineer is focused on finding new business opportunities with new and existing DXWplus accounts. As such you are responsible for selling subscriptions and renewing them.

You are responsible for achieving assigned sales quotas and goals for users and prospects located within your defined geographic territory and specific product range.

You are expected to build you own sales pipeline, to prospect and develop business, respond to incoming sales leads, give presentations and product demonstrations. You will devote considerable amount of time to visiting prospects, existing users and sales events in your assigned territory.

Our users are nearly without exception practitioners which means they are experts in their field of business. To be able to serve them best, you need to speak their language.

Responsibilities:

Look for and find prospects in your territory in various ways (existing contacts in the CRM-system, internet, outbound calling, visiting relevant public events such as trade shows, etc.

Work directly with both existing (up-selling and cross-selling) and new users.

Participate in relevant exhibitions, conferences and other events.

Qualify and quantify each lead and sales opportunity.

Develop and manage a sales pipeline and forecast and report business on a regular basis.

Develop relationships at various levels within prospects and users through the use of direct sales techniques. Your points of contact will predominantly be engineers and architects.

Close deals!

Register orders in the appropriate systems.

Utilize the CRM system as a daily sales tool and reporting system to manage contacts, leads, all sales opportunities, and forecasts.

Creating and managing effective territory sales plans.

Hosting and (co-)presenting web presentations and demonstrations with User Success and Expert Services colleagues.

Maintaining a high knowledge level of the company's applicable products and services.

Know your market and report on it.

Demonstrate the software you represent to your prospects and users.

What You bring to the Team:

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent level achieved through experience.

2-3 years of engineering experience preferable.

You have commercial talent - minimum 1-2 years’ experience in sales or customer service are required, and can close a deal in a pleasant non-intrusive manner;

You are a self-starter.

You combine customer focus with being service-oriented and highly motivated;

You have a positive attitude, eye for detail, are resourceful and inquisitive.

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to users and prospects via phone, web and face-to-face;

Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

You should have the ability to travel up to 50% of your time.

Although you will be working alone when out in the territory, you should be able to work effectively in a team together with your colleagues in the office. The success of DXWplus is a team effort!
