ABOUT THE POSITION:
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the position include:
Participating on multi-disciplinary engineering projects;
Fieldwork, site investigation and characterization, such as sediment, soil, surface water, air monitoring, and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight;
Data analysis / visualization of site investigation data including use of automation scripts via Python/C++, preparing tables, maps, and figures using AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and/or Environmental Visualization Software (EVS) applications, and database management;
Monitoring/oversight of heavy geotechnical, and environmental construction projects;
Performing and reviewing engineering calculations;
Providing contamination assessment services, such as designing and implementing sampling plans, bench scale testing, and pilot test programs;
Developing construction documents;
Conducting remedy evaluation, cost estimating, design, and implementation; and
Assisting in the development of proposals and other business development activities.

Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. Fieldwork: Up to 50%
Overnight travel: Up to 25%

Bachelor’s degree in civil, geotechnical, or environmental engineering. (required)
Advanced degree in geotechnical, environmental engineering. (preferred)
At least 2 years of related experience; internships and co-op experience will be considered as experience. (preferred)
Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology. (preferred)
Demonstrated strong interest in civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineering. (required)
Project experience involving environmental field investigations including soil sampling, groundwater and surface water monitoring, and environmental and geotechnical drilling. (preferred)
Experience with construction quality assurance and/or construction management services. (preferred
Experience with supporting field investigations and construction projects. (preferred)
Experience with modeling/design tools such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS. (preferred)
Ability to obtain professional engineering (P.E.) license registration within 4 years. (required)
Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
