WSP is currently initiating a search for a talented and motivated Engineer with DOD facilities experience to join our team in Virginia Beach! Alternatively, positions could be located in Arlington, VA, Washington, DC or Baltimore, MD. Serving as a Projejct Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects supporting DoD and municipal programs in the US and internationally, as well as partner with WSP design teams around the globe.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural and engineering techniques for small projects to large projects. Exercise independent judgement in some areas evaluating, selecting and applying standard design techniques, procedures and criteria to make design adaptations and modifications

•Interact with current clients and assist in pursuing new work by leveraging existing relationships in the market

•Lead Design Team members in the preparation of design documents, reports and related project documents using REVIT and other applicable software

•Must demonstrate ability to perform thorough technical reviews in support of the office’s Quality Control program

•Analyze design and construction systems, design layouts and construction features

•Research, compile and record information for assigned project work

•Develop project specifications

•Conduct site and construction inspections

•Prepare reports for review and approval

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

•10+ years’ of related design experience, including project management of DoD facilities related work

•Engineering license required

•Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) standards required

•The ability to travel, some internationally, to project or client sites as needed

•Familiarity with CADD and REVIT platforms and their capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience with NAVISWORKS preferred

•PMP Certification

•Experience Leading Design Charrette's, Concept Design Workshops and FACD's desireable
