Langan is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and responsible Geotechnical Engineer for a position in our Irvine, CA office. We are seeking candidates with ten to fifteen years of related geotechnical consulting experience. The successful candidate will be working on a wide variety of challenging projects and must have diverse and proven geotechnical engineering experience in California. The candidate must have the ability to expand services to existing clients, and the potential to develop new clients while maintaining strong billability. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of proposals, technical reports, specifications and construction plans, development of appropriate foundation and site-related geotechnical recommendations, and must have previous comprehensive field experience associated with subsurface investigations and foundation construction. A professional demeanor and client management experience are required. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for performing and managing projects, managing billings and invoicing, reviewing the work of staff, mentoring, managing performance and interacting with the firm’s Senior Management team.
Master's degree with geotechnical specialty;
California G.E. license preferred; ability to obtain within 1 year;
Minimum 10 years of California geotechnical consulting experience;
Strong leadership and decision-making skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Superior interpersonal skills;
Must be self-motivated and responsible; and
Ability to work well with others as well as work independently.
