Langan has openings for entry level Geotechnical Engineers at our Philadelphia, PA office. As the successful candidate, you will be working on both small-scale and large-scale projects in markets including residential, commercial, high-rise, waterfront, urban redevelopment and industrial. You will assist with the preparation of proposals, technical reports, specifications, and plans. You will also be assisting with designing foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical aspects of construction. Candidate must be able to perform field inspections of geotechnical and foundation projects. Possession of a strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn is essential to this position.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical specialty required;

FE/EIT certification preferred;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required;

Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities required;

Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment required;

Field experience is preferred, but not required;

Must be willing to spend 75% or more of your work hours in the field;

Must possess a valid driver’s license; and

Must be available to work overtime.
