ABOUT THE POSITION:
Is this the right position to help you achieve your professional goals? Some of the key responsibilities for the experienced geotechnical engineer position include:
Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage;
Geotechnical and environmental site characterization;
Reviewing and preparing dam safety evaluations based upon instrumentation monitoring;
Performing numerical analyses (e.g., Plaxis 2D, FLAC, Sigma/W, etc.);
Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
Small project/task management and proposal preparation support;
Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
Management of fieldwork associated with design and construction services.

Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. Fieldwork: Up to 25%
Overnight travel: Up to 15%

BS degree in civil or geotechnical engineering. (required)

Experience with modeling/design tools such as AUTOCAD, Slope/W, Vadose/W, Sigma/W, FLAC, Plaxis, and ARCGIS. (preferred)
Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration (preferred) or the ability to obtain P.E. registration within 2 years. (required)
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. (required)
