COWI has won several significant contracts lately within the design of WTG foundations for Offshore Wind. We are recruiting several engineers to meet the growing demand for our services.
Our offshore wind organisation employs more than 75 dedicated specialists and project managers, covering all main design services. We are part of COWI's major business line - Bridge, Tunnel and Marine (BTM) and work in a highly international environment with projects all over the world from offices in Denmark, Germany, Norway, UK, North America, Middle East and South East Asia.
Following further contract awards we are actively seeking to recruit a professional and career minded Geotechnical Engineers (Graduate, Engineer and Senior Engineer) to join our highly skilled offshore wind team, based from our office in Hamburg, Germany.
The role will see you working on a variety of projects from around the globe and will offer you significant opportunities for skills and career development across a range of ground engineering and geotechnical aspects of projects, together with the opportunity to work from other COWI Group offices in Europe and worldwide.
You will be accountable for producing geotechnical designs on a wide variety of projects, offering technical advice to project teams, liaising with clients and mentoring / developing less experienced engineers and ensuring we achieve the project requirements.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS CREATE VALUE
You hold a master's degree in civil engineering and have experience within geotechnical design of offshore structures. You will have experience related to:
Detailed design and analysis
Geomechanical principles and their application, including some or all:
Soil mechanics and foundation design
Rock mechanics and rock mass behavior
Project management (preferable)
Ensuring that design, assessments and checking of designs are in accordance with the current Standards, Codes of Practice and Best Practice
Preparation of risk assessments (preferable)
Furthermore, you can recognise yourself in the following statements:
You possess excellent reporting and communication skills in both personal and written form
You have FEM design experience (Plaxis 2D or 3D)
You are willing to travel to meet clients or visit our other offices worldwide
