Job Description

The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting with the management of construction and technical projects ; delivering on-time and on or under budget projects that meet client specifications as outlined in proposals and contracts. The Assistant Project Manager is also responsible for helping to maintain relationships with clients, other consultants, subcontractors/suppliers, growing business and the marketing of their group.

Responsible for assisting in managing and coordinating all aspects of a project including:

Help produce estimates

Complete take offs

Subcontractor canvassing

Field Coordination and Assistance as necessary at Construction Job Sites

Resources Utilization

Budget Development and Tracking

Costs Estimating

Project Schedules

Develops solutions to technical and business problems that could impede projects

Develops contingency plans

Ensures that the project comes in accurately, on time and within budget

Prepares project status and reporting

Demonstrates excellent technical and professional skills commensurate with years of experience Ensures that the company safety, quality and technical policies and procedures are practiced during the execution of team projects

Demonstrates a proactive, collaborative approach with project team members, client representatives, sub-consultants, contractors, review agencies and others as appropriate for the project

Meets or exceeds client expectations

All work performed under the supervision of others

Assists with other duties as assigned by managers within your group

Requirements:

BS in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering

0-10 years of experience in civil construction or engineering firm preferred

Strong computer skills, specifically in the area of Microsoft Office and relevant software

Experience with Primavera, Procor, HCSS, or Agtek a plus

Strong technical written and verbal communications skills

Ability to clearly communicate concepts and ideas

Willing to travel for project work
