We are looking for highly motivated Foremen, Field or Project engineers who are interested in taking on a superintendent role on our HART-Airport Guideway and Stations Design Build in Honolulu.
The primary objective of this role is to utilize field experience to direct activities of craft personnel concerned with construction of bridges by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in the following key areas:
Experience as a field engineer, project engineer or foremen
Experience with Concrete and formwork
Experience working on large scale heavy civil projects
Experience in reading work plans
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction
Procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, safety training and orientation of new employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
Confers with supervisory personnel and labor representatives to resolve complaints and grievances within work force
Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules
Prepares or reviews reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports
Manages Foremen who supervise craft field employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this group. May also directly supervise non-supervisory employees
Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc. Ability to relocate as needed

Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering-related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on large-scale heavy civil projects or combination of education and minimum of 8 years’ heavy civil construction experience
