Job Summary

SCS Engineers is expanding its business in Florida and is seeking a Senior Project Manager to assist in growing and developing SCS operations in Northeast Florida. This position demands a skilled engineer with an existing network of contacts/client portfolio and experience within the regional environmental community. This person will work with our Environmental Services Project Director for the Jacksonville, Florida office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Organizing and contributing to business development activities, and serving as a client manager to foster/develop/maintain client relationships.

Developing scopes of work and budgets, managing, and executing remedial action plans, environmental compliance auditing and permitting, water resource permitting and design, NPDES permitting, storm water and wastewater treatment design, and related environmental services with senior oversight.

Communicating with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders regarding project status, schedules and compliance issues.

Ensuring adherence to client and corporate contract specifications in all activities including Health, Safety, Security, and Environment.

Management of projects should include lead technical person, client contact, scheduling of personnel, and other management duties such as projecting manpower requirements, billing projections, invoicing, and accounts receivable management.


A Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required.

Minimum of 10 years of related experience required. Experience must include hands-on field and office based activities in environmental consulting. Specific experience with compliance and permitting at industrial and agricultural facilities, remedial design, and environmental assessments is preferred. Experience in Northeast Florida is required.

Demonstrated experience contaminated site cleanup projects as well as storm water and wastewater treatment/design projects.

Professional Certification (Florida PE) required and current OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER training a plus.

Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.
