GHD has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer with a Geotechnical focus to be located in our Cameron Park, CA office
Geotechnical engineering analyses, technical document preparation, review of staff work, plan and specification review, and construction consultation. We currently have a number of exciting and challenging projects underway in the hydropower, public works, transportation, and federal markets. Our office also has Civil, Structural, Environmental, and Surveying groups, and interaction with these groups occurs frequently.
BS Degree (MS preferred) in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus
California EIT 5+ years experience; PE preferred
Positive & collaborative work style - strong team player with the ability to work independently on-site
Innovative problem solving skills
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Geotechnical analysis experience (shallow and deep foundations, settlement, slope stability, retaining walls, seismic response)
Review of geotechnical site investigation and laboratory testing experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office; SLOPE/W, gINT, EZ Frisk, L-PILE, and AutoCAD proficiency a plus.
Valid California Driver’s License
Sufficient physical flexibility, stamina and balance to perform bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing, working on ladders, walking over rough terrain and lifting or moving up to 40 pounds.
