Aspect Consulting, LLC, a specialty earth science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a mid-level Licensed Hydrogeologist to join our Environmental Practice to support project work in site investigation and remediation of contaminated properties. Specific responsibilities will include:

Perform technical execution of projects under the supervison of project managers and principals, including preparation of proposals, budgets, schedules and reports

Assist in identifying technical issues and developing strategic problem-solving approaches to meet client needs for geologic and hydrogeologic site characterization

Design environmental and hydrogeologic field investigations to evaluate groundwater quality, groundwater-surface water interaction, contaminant nature and extent, aquifer properties, and chemical fate and transport

Implement soil, groundwater and vapor intrusion investigations; manage oversight of drilling, borehole logging, well installation and development, sampling and data collection activities

Develop and refine conceptual site models involving complex hydrogeology, geochemistry and contaminant fate and transport

Conduct data management and evaluation and prepare technical reports that include data visualization such as potentiometric surface maps, geologic and hydrogeologic cross-sections, and contaminant extent maps

Required Qualifications:

A Master of Science in hydrogeology or geology/geoscience/earth science with a hydrogeology emphasis

Licensed Hydrogeologist in Washington State

10+ years of experience applying hydrogeology principles to environmental projects

Applied knowledge in state and federal environmental regulations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong quantitative skills, including groundwater hydraulics and numerical modeling

Expertise in chemical fate and transport behavior

Expertise with metals geochemistry, fate and transport. Specific applied expertise with arsenic is a plus.
