Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has an opportunity for an Engineering Internship in our Laramie, WY office. The on-call position has a flexible work schedule to accommodate a student intern. Hours will vary depending on project needs. The position could continue into fulltime work in the summer.

Key Responsibilities

Assists in the preparation of reports, databases, quantity take-offs, data analysis, cost estimates, engineering drawings, maps, and other related graphics as required to support infrastructure design projects, including but not limited to drainage engineering and flood control, hydraulic modeling and design, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering.

Skills / Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited BS or MS program in Engineering or closely related field within an accredited program

Experience/class work in one or more of the following areas desirable: mechanical (HVAC) design, electrical design, flood control, hydraulic modeling and design, storm water quantity and quality analysis and design, surface water modeling, , and construction observation

College junior or senior level preferred

Excellent oral and written English communication skills preferred

Ability to work efficiently and independently and demonstrate effective organizational skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to generate superior written work products

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients and staff in a team environment

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D and/or Revit highly desirable

Must pass drug test, fit for duty physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
