We are seeking a full-time Intern - Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering to join our growing Washington, D.C. office, located near DuPont Circle. This opening is for a 40-hour per week position for summer of 2019. This is your opportunity to apply your scientific or engineering academic knowledge to real-world situations while also learning the business skills needed for a successful environmental consulting career.

The Intern will support a variety of project delivery needs including projects related to contaminated site investigations, environmental remediation, remedial system design, business transactions, and litigation support. Candidates are responsible for coordinating their own transportation to and from the office.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Environmental and engineering data input, management, and analysis;

Assisting with engineering / environmental / geology calculations and site modeling;

Assisting in engineering / environmental / geology design, report and proposal preparation;

Field support for contamination assessment, remediation, due diligence, compliance, monitoring, and construction projects;

Conducting and documenting research in support of projects and marketing activities; and

Administrative / general office task support.


Currently registered in a civil or environmental engineering, environmental science, or geology / hydrogeology Bachelor’s (rising juniors or seniors preferred), Master’s, or Doctorate degree program. (required)

Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional interpersonal, technical writing, and problem-solving skills. (required)

OSHA 40 Hour training is preferred; however, required training will be provided as needed.

A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. (required)
