We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to join our Minneapolis, MN area office who has the desire to work in a quality company with superior products and a reputation for excellence.
In this position, you will be responsible for establishing relationships with local geotechnical consultants, structural engineers, architects, and general contractors to garner business opportunities, as well as day to day management of projects, estimating and proposal preparation, contract negotiations, managing change orders and claims, monitoring and managing project schedule, cost control and QA/QC requirements, project invoicing and securing payment.
Responsibilities will include:
Preparation and submission of bids
Communication with field superintendents
QA/QC tracking and management
Compiling information & documentation of project contractual requirements
Pre/post bid job site reconnaissance
Qualified candidates must have 8 or more years Heavy Civil Construction or Geotechnical Construction experience with a BS degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Other requirements include: strong project management experience in general construction, drilling, anchors, micro-piles, earth retention, grouting, excavation, solid familiarity with all project contractual requirements and proven experience working effectively as a liaison with Engineers, General Contractors, and Owners. Some experience within project development/marketing preferred. Excellent computer skills and written & verbal communication skills necessary. Travel required.
