Draper Aden Associates is seeking a Senior Geologist or Environmental Engineer with Professional Geologist or Engineer license to join our Manassas office.

With over 40 years of experience in facilities planning and engineering design for municipalities, state agencies, cultural institutions, and private clients, we provide civil, environmental, geotechnical, solid waste, and structural engineering; surveying and subsurface utility engineering; site planning and engineering; and construction inspection services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building an environmental consulting practice in the Northern Virginia region. The individual may also work on a wide range of environmental projects in team support and project management roles; work includes but is not limited to: design and execution of environmental investigations, data compilation, environmental analysis, permit applications, design and implementation of site assessments and remediation, preparation of plans and reports in support of various environmental compliance activities, remedial, and restoration activities at commercial, private, public and institutional facilities, client coordination, and assistance with administrative work including documentation and reports.
Qualifications: The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required or preferred.
Demonstrated ability to win work and complete projects profitably.
Established network with potential clients, regulators and environmental professionals.
Excellent understanding of and experience in utilizing pertinent aspects of geology, hydrogeology, chemistry and public health in environmental assessments and remediation; experience in other related applications a plus.
Excellent written, oral, interpersonal communication and technical/computer skills.
Strong safety focus and work ethic.
Knowledge and experience with Environmental Laws and Regulations; knowledge and experience with Virginia Environmental Regulations a plus.
Ability to work in a team environment across multiple locations within the organization. Excellent Project management experience a plus.
Experience with hiring and personnel management a plus.
Ability to travel, including overnight travel, must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be results-oriented with strong initiative.
Required Training, Experience, Education and/or Skills:
10 to 15+ years of related work experience
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geoscience, Environmental Engineering, or related field a must; Master’s degree preferred.
Professional Geologist or Engineer License
40 HAZWOPER Training Certificate a Plus
Other related training a Plus
