We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to work in a technical leadership role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is position will be located in our Denver, CO office.
The successful candidate will:
Be considered a thought leader inside the company based on demonstrated high level knowledge and skill in their primary discipline compared to others in our industry.
Identify new approaches and project solutions aligned with client needs based on extensive understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of our work and the state of practice outside the company. Serves as final opinion regarding interpretation and assessment of data.
Understand our current state of practice in a specialized discipline in the company and contributes to developing and maintaining it through creative project application that is aligned with client needs. Collaborates with Client Leaders to assure this alignment with client needs.
If the individual's discipline is new to the company, they may establish the practice as well.
Based on extensive external publication and speaking, is recognized and sought out externally as well as internally as an expert practitioner.
Cultivate external expert networks that support the company through community of practice exchange. Cultivates relationships and develops capacity for interdisciplinary collaboration on complex projects. Provides leadership for staff in the discipline with expert mentoring and coaching.
Develop technical approaches on our most complex projects.
B.S. in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical focus. Registered P.E. and/or G.E. in multiple states, or the ability to obtain license through reciprocity.
Enhances the value proposition provided to at least one Key or Target Client with a technical innovation annually
Is in demand by Clients, MSLs and CLs to provide expert consulting and project team training on specialized project assignments
Makes at least three technical presentations at industry-appropriate forums annually
Achieves and leverages advanced status in a professional society/organization focused on the state and evolution of practice in an area of technical specialty (e.g., such as “Fellow”)
Publishes at least one technical paper in a refereed journal every two years
