NV5’s New York City office is seeking an entry-level Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation group. The selected candidate will work on a variety of public and private projects. Our New York practice is a dynamic group of engineers, architects, landscape architects and planners who work in a multi-disciplined environment to advance progressive transportation projects for public agencies. Together, we work to improve mobility, enhance communities and economic vitality, and balance development and infrastructure needs with environmental stewardship.
- Work under a mid-level engineer on transportation projects and traffic engineering/analysis tasks.
- Perform field data collection and site assessment tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of various components of traffic impact, corridor and intersection improvement studies
Assist with the research and preparation of reports.
- Work with team on design concepts, roadway improvements.
BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
2 to 5 years of civil/transportation engineering and planning experience.
Experience in transportation analysis software including Synchro and HCS.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation required
- EIT certification preferable or ability to obtain within 1 year
