We currently have an opportunity for a Process Engineering Intern within our Energy, Chemicals & Resources (ECR) team based in our Park Square office, Cheadle Heath, Manchester. The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.

 

The ECR business of Jacobs covers a wide range sectors for which we require chemical engineers – this includes Refining, Gas Processing and Storage, Bulk and Fine Chemicals manufacture, Mining & Minerals, Pharmaceuticals and Fast Moving Consumer Goods.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

 

Work within our project teams to produce defined process deliverables

Take on a departmental project, liaise with key department members to develop scope and feedback on findings by the end of the period

 

Essential:

  • To have just completed the penultimate year of a Chemical or Biochemical Engineering Masters degree course.
  • Forecast or achieved a minimum 2:1

 

Desired:

  • Previous work experience in a relevant industry
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

 

You will join us in the summer period and join our community of interns under our programme called Jacobs Campus. This new programme will allow you to work with a mentor who will work with you in identifying areas of learning so that when you leave you have a portfolio of learning experiences to make reference to. There will also be opportunities to network through your community and other networks across Jacobs in various experiences that will be on offer
