The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group, task execution and management for program management work, the quality of work performed, client service and interface, utilization of junior staff, and new project pursuits. This position will primarily be for program management related tasks, but also will be supplemented with occasional technical execution of civil engineering tasks. The Project Engineer will work on projects pertaining to municipal water and wastewater infrastructure and other utility related projects. This position is located in Denver, CO.
Independently resolves complex engineering problems
Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates civil engineering work
Participates in contract bidding and administration
Leads, coordinates and reviews the work of junior engineers and/or technical support personnel assigned to the project
Manages time and coordination to complete and deliver multiple tasks on multiple timelines
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university required
A minimum of 4+ years of civil engineering experience demonstrating a knowledge, understanding, and performance of civil engineering related technical functions which may include stormwater, wastewater/water treatment and/or conveyance systems, cost estimates, technical specifications, permitting, and other supporting documentation for public and private projects is required
Plans and conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/ modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria required
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering construction drawings, engineering studies and technical reports, design manuals, codes, and regulations required
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise written correspondence, reports, and recommendations is required
