We have an opportunity for an engineering geologist / geotechnical engineer to join our Western Australian Branch.

Key responsibilities:

§  Geotechnical inputs on a wide variety of projects including infrastructure and mining projects.

§  Supervision of site investigations including geotechnical drilling, CPTs, test pit excavations and hand augers.  Logging of soil and rock to Australian Standards.

§  Assisting project managers and geotechnical staff on a wide range of aspects of site investigations.

§  Preparation of field reports, and assisting with preparation of geotechnical reports and proposals.

To be successful in this role you will have:

§  3 to 5 years of engineering geology / geotechnical experience.

§  Knowledge of Perth/WA engineering geology / geotechnical conditions preferred.

§  Previous site investigation supervision experience preferred.

§  Willingness to go to site for periods up to three to four weeks at a time.

§  Previous experience with commercial geotechnical software packages such as gINT, Slope/W, Plaxis, DIPS and proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite

§  Previous earthworks /construction supervision is considered as a positive.

§  Strong report writing and communication skills in the English language.

§  Degree qualifications in engineering geology or geotechnical engineering.

§  Strong team player – we love what we do and are passionate about the work we undertake.

§  Previous experience in a consultancy environment.

§  An Australian driver’s license
